What happened to the traditional summertime motto of 'freedom'? Here in my house I am reading Aeschylus, Plutarch, Lew Wallace, other school books, and DOING TRIGONOMETRY! For the love of God, parents, I'm only going into nineth grade! AND I am taking a college course in Java. And losing three weeks to Boy Scout camp. Goodbye, O ye long-sought allegorical goddess of Freedom.  I am not even allowed to write to friends without permission from both parents. I am doing this in the time allotted for taking notes on Aeschylus' Seven Against Thebes and The Persians. Weather looks wonderful outside most of the time, but oh, no--Aeschylus and Plutarch and Trig are needed to be done over the summer or I will fail dismally come September. As if (Headmaster's List student, NJHS, Quiz Bowl Champ).
